So there are CL77 aluminum fenders that are different than CL72 aluminum fenders, as well as CL77 steel fenders? The seller told me the fact it had an aluminum fender was period-correct, and the CL77 later went to a steel fender.

Thanks for the tip!! I have what I think is a 65 (possibly 66?), the frame number is CL77-1012672...I have 1 peg I could measure for dimensions to match anything someone might have.

Thanks for the tip on the headlight, looks like I was doing the right thing but I should just use more force. I'll have to grab some good pics once it stops raining here. Also, does anyone know what year I have? The numbers are close and I'm thinking it's a 66 based on what I've read, but here are the numbers:

FRAME: CL77-1012672
ENGINE: CL77E-1012666

Stupid Headlight Bucket Question [and some new bike pics!]

So I picked up a CL77 a few days ago and was poking around checking out the wiring throughout the bike. I pulled the headlight out of the bucket, and now I can't get the thing back on. I've owned a few old bikes w/ similar headlight assemblies and had no issues...any clever ideas? I don't want to be...
