Upon further review I've found my answer under the FAQ's. It appears that I have the type Id instrument cluster. Now I'll have to figure out what year bike I really have. Maybe my PO swapped clusters(?).

Did the speedo & tach both turn clockwise on a 1966? My 1966 (supposedly) has opposite turning guages. Were both available in 1966? Or did the PO swap this at some point.

If you don't have a bolt running through it should be removable, as is. You can use a screwdriver or chisel to try to spread the gap on the piece connected to the spindle. Your bike looks awesome! The color is beautiful and the lettering really makes the paint pop. I really like the creativity of using the 1up button and microphone taillight. Thanks for sharing.
