Check the two carb intakes to see if the barrels are both lifting at the same time. I had a similar problem years ago on a new CB72. In my case, the carb on the cylinder with the blue exhaust, was lifting first. Adjusting this seemed to reduce the problem. You might have to adjust the slow running a...

I had a similar problem on my CB72 back in the 60's. Yes, you are right, a threaded bolt screwed into the center will withdraw it out. The one I used had a metric thread on (size unknown). A word of warning. I found it difficult to replace the stator with the outside coils in place as the magnet kep...
