Well yes it WAS missing the pin.

It`s allright now.

Ticking noise unfortunately still exists but I`ve found out my crankshaft was worn...

But still my question; could this missing of parts cause a ticking noise?

Can anybody please explain to me what these pins are for?

Can it be that because I`m missing this pin my oil pump is ticking?
I also miss the washer between the pin and the left housing. Can that also cause problems?

What exactly are they for?

My sounds is different, this one is very high and continuous.

My Honda Dream is noisy to. Runs and starts great. 30000km. But just like you say it sounds like valves hitting the pistons. Only sometimes with the somewhat higher revs. I know my tensioner has been worked. But... I think if it was the camchain then you should hear it on the lower revs. Anybody wit...
