Can you tell me what year it is and why my gas cap is in the middle of the tank. Havent seen one like it.

what year is my bike.I think I have a 1961-63 honda dream 305. For some reason I can't find anybody that can tell me why mine is differnt from other dreams I see. My gas tank is bigger and the gas cap is in the middle of the tank. If you have any info that can help me please reply. Thanks.
