While inspecting the cam sprocket advance weights I noticed that one of the weight tips is worn down about 1 mm and the other weight about .5 mm. My 65 CL 77 has tires that have been on since around 1975. They look pretty good with no dry rot. I also have some NOS tires that are about the same age.

Are these tires safe for occasional riding or should I buy new tires?

Sorry gramey7, I got no PM.

Thanks Randall. I got a new one. I wasn't sure about that pin to begin with. After close inspection of the cylinder I found where the cam chain had rubbed against the walls. I didn't think that such a pin would wear down so much.
