I have cleaned the tank, rebuilt the carb, petcock, points, timing, valve adjustment, plugs, fresh oil, cleaned the oil filter (forgot what a pain that is), new air fil...

1968 CA77 305:
The cam tensioner bolt broke while trying to loosen it (hey, my first one, not too bad). I can use an extractor, but want to make sure nothing serious happens if I completely remove the bolt. Any thoughts?

I'm located in Waterford Michigan about 40 miles north of Detroit.
