How old is the battery. It could have died its final death. If you have a charge from the alternator, replace it. If it is totally dead your indications from the alternator may not be true.

Top Vent Hose

On my CB77 the hose ran down the back of the engine thru the clip to hold it, then to the right and out with the wire bundle. Think it was meant to oil the chain if any oil happened to come through. If you have a lot of oil coming out of it, there is some crankcase blowby. Mine shows no oil.

Air Filter Hoses

Somewhere in this forum, within the past week there was a post from someone who had a NAPA part # for a hose that is a good replacement. You will have to search -- I am not sure which link it was under.
