Hi Marcus Check your points are very clean and if you can get your spark on that side to jump maybe 8-10mm in the open air and its a nice blue colour then I think it would be fine. Problem solved !
I found the bowl vent, tiny hole leading to the small brass tube on the outside of the carby was blocked,
finished with emo's tune up and it's running better than ever.

It uses a 22mm carb with power jets. Most were/are oval bowl up to 1964 (?). The CL72 used the 22mm carb but all had square bowls and no power jet and were stamped CL72A on the mounting flange. The 250 Dreams used the 22mm carb and are stamped on the top of the mounting flange. .......................

Mate I just found your post after putting up one myself for the same issue. Im leaning towards the carb as I note that if i remove the hose at the petcock breifly the cylinder will run OK. Hopefully we may both find an answer - maybe it is something particular to the LH CL/CB72 carby?? Have you clea...

Hi All I have had an issue here for a long time with my CL72, and have put up with it as it really isnt too serious. I have ben investigating of late out of curiosity to try and find what is accually happening. When the tank level gets low - maybe 1/4 left - the left hand cylinder starts to miss. I ...

Kick and Clutch !

Hi All I am in need of a kick start Joint 28241-259-000 (the splinedknuckle that fits through the side cover) and a clutch rod 22850-259-010 ( the push rod) This has a major worn section where it moves through the oil seal therefore creating a self lubricating chain !!! Has anyone had any luck biuld...
