That's definitely something I'd read... lol... at the very least Ed you should consider training an apprentice.. ;) Seriously, though, you'd need to be mad to entrust your carbs to anyone other than Ed Moore, perhaps the only exception being Bill Silver. Well Ed, everyone... thanks for the help... I finally got some time to tinker with the bike... I pulled the carbs soaked them in chem dip, adjusted the floats to be as close as possible. Then and put them back together and back on the bike. It was in the disassembly stage that I realized what had be...

Good... mine are 64s so I "should" be ok... as far as aligning the floats with the jet location... you lost me... I understand setting them so that they are just touching the pin but not compressing it... I'll try to call ya tomorrow Ed if you'll be around.

There is quite a bit more clatter at the top end... I will check on both... is there a way to trouble shoot the advance springs or the system? And Ed I have been wondering something... is there anything in the carb that can't withstand the Berrymans Chem dip? I don't want to ruin any internal rubber...

odd things happening

So first it's a 1964 Honda Super Hawk... ok I have put my carbs back on freed the slides and got the bike to start, but now the idle wants to jump to 4-6k then come back down slowly or sometimes not at all... if it does come back down to say 1k then if I try to give it gas... even just a millimeter ...

Yeah... It works great... I used the first one I made and took the bike out for a ride today... everything works and looks correct... now I need to get one of those nice new stators and I'll be set... =o)
