Interesting, when I restored my CL77 a while ago I ordered a load of new bits too. The O ring that came to go between the tap and the tank was actually a rectangular section rather than round and was pre-shaped to fit the groove in the tap. When I ordered a second one as a spare it was a normal round section O ring but both came in sealed packets bearing the same part number, just another example of a superseded component without a part number change I suppose
BTW, were there any red fibre washers on the screws holding the CL taps onto the fuel tanks?

Yes - I need to get a load of red fibre washers and some new screws for mounting the taps. Unusual for Honda to use a 'standard size' for that 'oval' o-ring. In my CL77 manual it says that the -273- part is superceded but the single one I got from DSS had a -273- number I wish they'd done something similar with the wavy washer under the tap lever. You could buy 50 of the nearest size (which doesn't fit) for the price of one Honda one. G

Back to the Hondas now. I've run out of excuses.... Click on the picture below to hear it run.....  G
