Question for the engineers out there.
ISDE??? They're quite likely what you want. Honda changed its part numbering system in the early 60s and there are still lots of piston rings with the old number. Have a look here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Honda-Stan ... 2328477060
ISDE International Six Day Enduro
A European form of trials and cross country racing competed by teams from many nations/countries. TOUGH for sure. ...............lm
ISDE, INTERNATIONAL SIX DAY ENDURO, held in a different country each year. Super tough event and Australia won it last year also.
Nothing to do with vintage Japanese motorcycles but of note for anyone who rides on the dirt. Anyway, back to business. I recently rebuilt a blown up, big time, 250 Suzuki using Chinese manufactured parts. Now I know it's the thing to knock anything Chinese built like we did with Japanese goods years ago but, Apple, Sony and many other "Quality" manufacturers use Chinese factories to produce their goods. For the Suzuki, big end and conrod £30, Piston, rings and pin £35. 4 valves £20. Using genuine parts the engine was a write off, but, how well it will last only time will tell but currently running sweet. With this in mind I decided to see if there were any Pistons that might be suitable for my CA77. It didn't take long on AliExpress searching for 60mm Pistons to find a new piston with rings and pin for £11 with free postage, all the dimentions were identical except the piston crown is a couple of mil lower at the point than the Honda one. For that money it is worth a look so I've ordered a couple and will keep you posted what actually arrives in the post. Thanks for your link Tim but these are the same rings I already have, ie the thick ones.
