1961 CB72 ProjectHow time flies?
I imagined that retirement was going to give me lots more focus to my project but the opposite has happened. I seem to have flitted between little bits of work for friends, visiting and helping family members and projects I didn't know I was going to be doing before retitement. Apologies for zero progress as I get my 'prorities' under control. In the last three months I have stripped and painted most of a CB400F project and recently acquired a small numer of parts for a white 1964 CB77 with frame number 061. Not sure what to do with that but an all-white CB77 sounds like fun! There are traces of white paint under the toolbox bracket and inside the headstock. I have managed to weld on some replacement top engine mounts which had been removed. I have done a tiny amount of work on the '61 bike, if you can call painting the bolt-on seat brackets, progress! As the BBC used to say - "normal service will be resumed as soon as possible"..... '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72

Hi Graham, welcome to the world of busy retirement! I found exactly the same lack of time to do all the jobs that had been ‘saved’ for me at home, take holidays, play golf and visit the grandchildren living at opposite ends of the UK! That was 3 years ago and still trying to get time to work on my Yamaha YL1 restoration. Not much time either to ride my CB77 despite the good weather! Good luck with the your projects and hopefully see some more pics of your great 1961 CB77.
