Rebuilt engine seized

I have just checked and the knock pin is 5mm and recess in the bearing is similar (measured at 5.2mm) The alignment of the bearing does look a little out in the picture but I can not be sure I had not moved it when I took the picture. To be honest I think the oil feed hole was correctly aligned because there were small lumps of what looked like melted solidified aluminium in both the bearing hole and the bottom of the oil feed so I think this was melted Al that had started to go up the feed hole from he bearing. Greg These should help if the rest of the crank is OK.
Bearing outer, retainer and rollers are all NOS..... G G

Hi Greg. on page 2 you said that the engine was definitely run with the oil hole blocked before you stripped it down. Can you give some clarification on that please.
You have a lot of guys scratching their heads mate! Also to Al, can you supply him the starter parts and I'll fix you up with some when you get here? Cheers, Brian.

In answer to your question, when I purchased the bike it was started up for me but when I stripped it down I found that the oil feed hole had been blocked with sealant and it also had the addition of a brass tube in the oil system ( see earlier posts). The seller said it was not running cleanly on one cylinder so I presume he had been messing around with it for a while but this could be before or after the sealant. So all I know is that it had been run in a garage but no idea how much running. From pulling it apart I got the impression it had been quickly put together to sell but I am just guessing. I have measured the depth of the hole in 4 cases and they are 9.95---9.97---10.04---10.24mm deep, the pin measures 10.02 to the shoulder and 11.93 overall length. When it's located and tapped in the shoulder should be level with the case or just a little below leaving enough sticking out to peg the bearing.
