Starter chain - how many links?
Starter chain - how many links?Bought a replacement starter chain from David Silva but would not fit. The one fitted was 60 links and the replacement only 58. Just wanted to check that 60 links was standard.
Thanks Greg It's usually easiest to install the chain onto the sprockets, and then slide both sprockets onto the crank and starter at the same time. If the crank sprocket rotor/stator are all in place, remove the sprocket from the starter. Then put the starter sprocket in the chain, and slide the starter in from the left (up against the front of the engine), while engaging the sprocket onto the starter splines. Regards, Chase
