Fix the leak with a coil rather than over size the bolt.
That is a nice bike you have now. ....................lm

Front fork is leaking but I'm planning to rebuilt it in the near future of next winter.

Over tightened the fuel inlet screw on my left carb, ruined the thread...
Guess it's not possible to repair this, so anyone with a spare set of carbs for sale?

Will be rebuilding my front fork this weekend.

What's the best way to reinstall the front fender brace without messing up fresh paint? When the forks are already mounted on the inner tubes or is it possible to mount the fender brace to both outer fork tubes and then slide them over the inner tubes together?

edit:
Noted the order for the clips on the inner tube but forgot which way the chamfered ring should go on? Chamfer side up or down?

All good, she's back on the road with a rebuilt front fork.
Carbs issues also solved.

Just one thing, when the engine is really warm and I stop at a stoplight it idles at a rather high rpm.
Adjusting the slide screw doesn't seem to make a lot of difference.
Do I need to adjust the air screw? I have them set at 1+1/4 turn out.

The slides are not synced together.
One side is high and drives the idle. ........................lm
