CA77 Muffler 1964
CA77 Muffler 1964
I need some guidance. My 64 Dream is loud! Both right and left side pipes have a wing nut and and a holed cap to act as a diffuser There are no tapered ends as every parts manual I have looked indicates there should be. Hence no bolt hole to attach the diffuser. What pipes do I have? The caps are chrome and fit the opening exactly so it appears correct. The ends taper slightly and the opening is about twice the size of the diameter of a stock diffuser. Any help is wanted.

That is a muffler????????? made by MCM in the 60's for the early HONDA 250/305.
They are loud for sure. SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had AIR CONE (out of business now) make copies of them for me but I added 2 washer baffles (8 inches apart) with the metal with all those small holes between the baffles and that same end you have.
And when I installed them my CB77 became "THE MOUSE THAT ROARS"! ( LOUD MOUSE) as they killed the scream and make a ROAR similar to some of the BRIT twins.
Added power (how much I don't know) but did and not all that loud. ..............lm
