Hi G-man,

Seems nice. I also found out that the rear fenders of the '61 are lighter. I think the material itself (sheet) is thinner that the later versions. However, didn't measure it jet.

Thank you for the pictures of the spokes, I have thousands of spokes from the 250's, 305's and the CB450's, but many are out of the package, so no p/n on them.

When winter is coming and the days get shorter, and the work and familly, well you know the drill, TIME, TIME TIME, is all I wish for at the moment.....

Hello Jensey.
Sorry I missed your call last time.
My son and I were under my 5th wheel trailer rebuilding the damage where a tire blew out wood and metal.
Both sides are fixed now and WE can use it again. ..................lm

Yes they are thinner steel.

I noticed that the numbers in the parts book have to be wrong because (I think) they have the same number for front and rear and the spokes are different.

Today is a big work milestone for me in New York. After that I can run over to my friend's house and pick up the last batch of NOS front spokes and some other tasty morsels.

When I get back home next week, the wheelbuilding can commence..... :-)

I'm looking forward to when I get back next week and can get on with wheel building. My last set of NOS front spokes has arrived so it will be good to get the wheel built up with a genuine DID rim and genuine NOS Honda spokes.

It looks like the weather will be good when I get home so I can do some more painting and get those last few parts finished off. Just the electrics to get sorted after that.

Good weather here for my painting session. I can do wheelbuilding in any weather but things have to be just right fro painting.

I got most of the work done yesterday with a bit of welding and cleaning up on the heavily-pitted chain guard. It was lovely to get some blue top-coat on the toolbox and the headlamp but the chainguard still needs a bit mor epain and filling putty to sort out the pits.

Next up were the silver parts but I am going to leave the clear coat for a few days until the paint has hardened. I have been having trouble with clear coat crazing when applied over silver so I am going to take it very carefully.
