May be the quality is good since it is made in Japan.

Those were imported by DIXIE International years back.
That issue will have a problem with the CL72/77 as it hits the speedo. ..............lm

I have this version but think it touches the speedo cable as Ed says.

Will probably try to solder the wires directly to the lamp, this will save some space.

So where can we purchase a sealed headlight for
the early CL72 that fits?

We now know the Dixie units on Ebay hit the Speedo Cable
inside the CL72 headlight cowl.

Does anyone know where we can purchase the appropriate
sealed headlight for the early Scrambler?

I don't think the example from your eBay link will hit the speedo cable since it doesn't have the connector on top as in the picture I showed?

My headlight says "DIXIE" on front of the glass, the one from the eBay link doens't.

1967 (late style with ears) vs. DIXIE light from CMSNL:

Left one fits, right one doesn't.
The unit from your eBay link shows the same connector type as the left unit in my picture.
