These shots are also under 'SuperHawk Meets Triton' in the Custom/Mods section of the Forum, but here they are anyways. The filters are about 1 inch or so shorter than stock ones, and the metal frames from old stock filters are used for structural support. The venting tubes are connected to the spigots on the frames as normal, but they just don't go into the filters themselves.

Put one of those hose to the other head vent which will close the loop.
Honda dropped that system in 1967 so just attach them together rather that just open air.
I worry about the mechanics ya have there.
Ya must have a lot of $$$$$$$ to change just to change.
Good luck Vince!!!!!!!!!! ..............lm

Are these tubes sucking or are they venting?
Do I need to drill holes in the filters now? (my mechanic did not think that was necessary)
What's going to happen if it's left as is?
Is it going to go boom?
Please do tell to enlighten me....

Whatever you do Ed, don't look at the latest posting in 'SuperHawk Meets Triton'....you won't like what you see! Lots more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
(Besides, the old air filter frames cost $ 10.00, and the new K&N's cost the equivalent of two new stock filters, so I wouldn't really call that a lot of money, in the grand scheme of things).
But are those tubes sucking or are they venting? If they are pushing air out, then how does putting them through a filter affect things? If they are sucking, then I can understand your point, and then I'll see about bridging them as you suggest.
