Hello all,
I've been away from home for the past 3-4 months, now I'm back and ready to get this engine complete. I ran into transmission problems that eventually LoudMouse solved, it was a bad bearing.
Now I'm putting the cylinder studs back into the case and wanted to know the following:
1.) what is the tourque specs for the cylinder studs in the case?
2.) should I use lock tight on the threads?
3.) the front right stud beside the oil channel does not bottom out, do you just tighten it until the threads are no longer visible? Picture below
Thanks for any help

Re: Cyclinder stud questionsZads
1) The book says 13.7-16.6 lbs-ft, dry (no oil or grease on threads) Some people go a little higher but you should remember that the thinner corner studs are not as strong. 2) No, except for your front right stud that has broken into the crank case 3) Screw it in until it is the same height above the joint face as the one on the other side.
