ca77 replacement exhaust

Post by Foose » Mon Dec 17, 2007 11:02 pm

i saw these replacement exhaust pipes on ebay, and theyb said they were for a ca77, but they dont look anyhting like the ones on my 64 dream. anyone tell me what gives? theyre clearly remanufactured, and might fit a dream, but i want originals real bad....anyone know where to go? if it helps i really need the right muffler more than the left, and my headers are fine, so is my baffling. thanks everyone....

If you are looking at the ones I think you are they are poor quality after market.
You just missed a NOS/OEM set which sold for $436.12 on eBay. ....................lm

GET A GRIP FELLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't think that because you paid a small amount for this bike or other things that parts/items that you will need later will be cheap. You are now involved in a subject that as time goes by the parts/items you will need get more difficult to find and never cheaper. I know that if you want NOS/OEM mufflers for that bike ya need to be prepared to PAY BIG$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May I suggest ya realize that the cost of the parts for your $500.00 bike will cost you more than what you paid for it!!!!!!!!!! Where were you when the parts were plentiful and a lot cheaper????????????
That said I think you will realize that few parts for that bike "as new and available" will be as cheap as the bike you now own or you may expect to pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. ..........................lm

Not that I personally would be willing to pay that amount, but from watching eBay auctions of CA77 mufflers I would say that anything less than $500 for a nice rust free NOS set is actually cheap. I've seen them go for twice that amount.

Sad as that is to say. (not for those who have a set hidden in their barn though!)

yeah, i realize the scarceity of parts, and i was but a glint in my daddys eye when parts where plentiful. heck, for that matter ive got a 78 hawk 1 that you cant get parts for, and parts for my 83 vt750 shadow are even getting rediculous, but that said, has anyone even seen ohiocycle.com? do they really posess that kind of stock, or is the page just severely outdated?

Nick has the parts and will sell them if you buy more than one item.
My earlier statement was meant to tell you that you need to prepare yourself to the actual cost that many parts for your bike sell for ...............lm
