If you know you are going to use the new screws over a LONG period of time...........you could make them fit by running an ISO tap into the tabs on the tank. I placed a small block of wood behind the tab to protect the tank. Your moving a small amount of metal by a very small margin...........but do it carefully and at heated room-temperature. I have successfully accomplished this task on the tank as well as on the speedo-mount to the headlight bucket.

What'd be the correct chain guard for my CL? With our without louvres?

Is it normal for the headlightrim to fit supertight on the headlight case?
Really difficult to get it on properly.
