Hi Dick

A good friend Brian and I have been tinkering with CB72/77 and other Hondas since 2007. Brian and his brother Alan used to race them in the UK.
Quite a few CB72 and Cb77 came to Aus in the 60s but parts are hard to come by now. We've collected a bit over the last ten years as available locally. There are a sprinkling collector/riders here with these classic bikes, and a few on the historic bike race circuit. 90% of spare parts come from the good old USA. A sprinkling of new items from Asia.

About 200 kilometres (120 miles) north west of Phillip Island. Go there regularly for fishing.

Enjoy old aircraft as you do also. (Still a licenced aircraft engineer/trainer)

But getting off the subject :)

He had some parts such as crank bearings and CYB stuff that I just couldn't find anywhere else at the time. Shipping to UK was pretty easy and he was great to deal with.

Went there with Jerry for an event.
Damp/cool/windy but the racing was great and I enjoyed the people and bikes. .............................lm

I always wondered what kind of market Honda had there - I guess being in that part of the hemisphere certainly would be advantageous shipping-wise.

Tackled a few more things this past week - while waiting for the head light ass'y, I did make some reducers for the head light ears. They were for 35mm forks, mine are 33mm. I made the sleeves 33x35, and slit the side. The ears are cast alum and powder-coated.

I did some machine work to the top clamp for the tach mount, and heli-coiled the two M-6 holes. This was the instrument location for the CX, but just a cast finish, and kicked up 6 degrees from the stem; the black tach plate that came with the tach needed quite a bit of cutting and it is kicked up 45 degees. I may make some final adjustments when I get the tank, seat, and bars done, but so far looks ok.
