Are you going to use the disc brake as well?

Thanks, Richard, the seller had the wheels from the CX, Comstars. I am trying to keep the look of a '60's- era track bike, with drum brakes. The caliper bosses on the slider will give me a mounting point for the brake arm. Also, I may work up mounts for a hydraulic steering damper.

Powder coated swing arm, center stand, triples; made new steering stop for CX forks - had to measure the stop-to-stop arc on my other cb77 - about 77 degrees, then weld stop to steering head. Made a brake torque arm for front, similar to rear arm, and made appropriate spacers for brake backing plate and caliper mount on slider - this was after I made a spacer for front axle to center CB wheel on CX forks.
I removed the fork tubes from the sliders to replace seals, and put the sliders on the lathe to turn the necks to same diameter for a fork brace - I had one on my ZRX Kawasaki, and it did make a difference. Getting ready to paint sliders and brake backing plates.

Still very, very envious of the skills, equipment and time on display here. Great work - and yes, the red looks fantastic.
Thanks.

Thanks, guys.
The red is called "regal red", and is the identical color of Mac tool boxes. I periodically help at the powder coater's shop, and was helping when they had a run for Mac. I decided then that was the red for the frame, and recently they had another run, so I took stand, swing arm and triples there. I still have to fit the tank and seat to the frame, so I will have to weld mounting points before coating.
A few pics of the fork brace I made for my '01 Kawasaki ZRX1200R. This was when I was in a shop running cnc mills, so the one I have planned for my CB will not be as fancy. I will make this when I have the forks assembled, to get accurate dimensions.
This brace has some "bug guards", to keep the stanchions clean.

A few more things accomplished: powder coat both fenders, fender brace, and fork sliders. The fenders are a natural aluminum color. The front fender is the '79 CX500, and the rear is an old aftermarket Beck/Arnley front fender for a 305 Scrambler, modified.
Because I can no longer use the stock steering damper, I have been considering a hydraulic rotary, like a Scotts. I put the frame on the mill to create a mounting point for the stationary post; I'll fine tune it with a post bracket when I actually have one in hand - at least the mounting pad is done. I cut the handlebar mounts off the upper triple, and will use the tapped holes for the damper...slowly but surely.
