Thanks for the replies guys.

There's no screen with the bike, although that would most likely be well past its best by now so may have been discarded.

They are exactly as brewsy noted above. This is a '61 bike (to the best of my knowledge), and I do have a pair of 'new' mirrors exactly like the pair posted by G-Man above. They are new, in packaging, but I'm not sure if they come with mounts. I'll have to investigate that...

It is also possible that they were fitted to the other CA77 (a '64 I think) that the PO originally had as I seem to have a few 'duplicate' items, and am missing others! I'm sure all will be revealed as the number of parts diminish as they're fitted to the bike.

Darboots

On the early bikes there was no mirror mount in the lever perches like later bikes. Those little split clamps attached to the handlebars instead.

Some progress over the last few days...

Just missing the top two interlocking washers that fit between the 4 pronged spring and the damper screw.

New coil, old rectifier and solenoid (to be fitted). I have a bridge rectifier to fit, but am hoping to hide it away somewhere to retain an original type look. Not sure if the old rectifier is still working, but this is the better looking of the two I have.

Still keeping a look out for a battery clamp and filter frame infill. Are they the same on all years and perhaps the CA78, etc?

A battery clamp, or tool tray, is available on ebay, as is the air filter cover, but the cost of postage to the U.K. would be more than the parts are worth and then some. I believe the cover is the same for all years, but there is great variation in the tray.

You could try hiding a solid state bridge rectifier like this, I did this on my Cb77 a couple of tears ago and it's been mine. The plates of the donor rectifier obviously help with heat dissipation.

Quick update:

Some things are coming together....

Front wheel - front fender needs painting, so this has been left off until we get some reasonable weather in the UK.
Image

Engine tubing and a view of the gold airbox cover that I managed to buy from the US along with a NOS centre stand spacer.
Image

Home brew battery bracket and rectifier mounting. I'll paint the bracket when the weather allows.
Image

Rear wheel and lamp. It's not quite the correct lamp (type 255), but is close (type 250). I've fitted a LED replacement from bulbsthatlastforever.com, which I believe was the last one they made before closing their operation. Such a shame they've decided to close as these are much nicer to use than the original twin filament festoon bulb.

Another view.

And finally, the coil side. The Selenium Rectifier has only been fitted to retain the original 'look', and will not be wired in.

In other news... HMRC Customs and Excise have issued me with a VAT request to have the bike NOVA registered. This will allow me to request an age related registration plate from DVLA when the bike is complete.
