FWIW, the one original kick start lever I have that is still wearing its original rubber the "Honda" reads in the action phase.

No Mate. I've fabbed up a fitting to use with a B737 flap bearing. Works OK. I'll send you a pm with pics when it's finalized.

When I took the original forks apart I drilled through the original lower bush pins to get the bush off. This is a horrible design and later versions had a circlip to hold the bush in place. Because the fork tubes are larger at the top the bush has to come off even to replace the seal.

I didn't realize until later that the pins could be knowckesd out from inside.

I got all the parts together then discovered that I hadn't got any seals.

CMS in Holland wanted £20 each and David Silver wanted £10 each. It turns out that my regular bearing supplier stocks double-lip seals suitable for motorcycle forks, and the O-rings that fit in th ebottom of the seal holder.

The price was right, too. Just £4 each for the seals and pennies for the o-rings.

With the seals greased and the fork tubes taped to protect the seals from sharp edges, both seal holders went on nicely.

With the seal holders in place, I could thread the bushes, circlips and damper ring in place. The bottom bush was pinned in place and the pins were locked by staking the bush material over the head of the pin.

I still have to assemble the tubes in the clamps and get the forks attached to the headstock but that is a job for another day.
