Batty Blinkers

Post by cdf7640 » Wed Sep 07, 2016 1:06 am

Hey there. I have a 1965 CP77 Superhawk and have been having an issue with my blinkers: I was riding on the highway going about 70 mph, and whenever I went to put on my turn signals the blinkers would blink really fast - to the point of them looking as though they were continuously on. Once I got off the highway and onto slower roads, my blinkers stopped working completely. What do you guys think the issue is and what's the best way to solve it?

Thanks,
Chris

My first guess would be the flasher relay. Did you install the turn signals? Do you use incandescent bulbs or LEDs?

I didn't install the blinkers, the mechanic I work with did, but he's left for Japan so I have to figure this out. What's the parts # for the relay? Are they pretty easy to replace?

Thanks,
Chris
