Rear Fender Alignment
Rear Fender AlignmentI've started putting back together a CL77 I'm attempting to restore and have stumbled across an issue. Simply put the wheel and tire are aligned properly, but the rear fender is canted off to one side. So much so that the right side of the fender is lined up with the right side of the tire. In bolting things back on there didn't seem to be a lot of latitude for adjustments. Any ideas how I might bring the fender back to center over the tire?
Thanks
Rear Fender AlignmentThe fender is not parallel with the tire.
The fender appears to be straight unto itself. If I stare just right, the passenger grab rail might be slightly bent in the offset direction. I think I'm going to try loosening the bolts that attach the fender to the rail and see if it will tug back to a straighter position. Bet you're right. It probably has taken some sort of hit to the rear end. Seems like some of these old things have taken a beating somewhere in their past. rear fenderJust a thought, Did you work on the rear spokes? Maybe the offset is incorrect? Scram64
