CA77 CARB PROBLEMS
The only reasons I can think of for having to dial in the air screw too far (usually 1~2 turns out is normal for alot of carbs) is that the slow jet is too small or there is a vacuum leak somewhere. ie: if the screw is too far in, it needs a bigger slow jet. If the screw is over two turns out, the slow jet needs to be smaller. Vacuum leak seems more likely. Are BOTH carbs adjusted the same?
CA77 CARB PROBLEMSI changed my 65 CA77 from the stock slow jet #35 to the Keyster kit #40 and ran a hat pin up thru the hole in the slow jet passage to make sure it was open and clean (no need to remove the carb) and that solved my idle problems completely.
