Dynamo Cover Screw

Post by mooney1el » Sun Jul 04, 2010 8:38 am

While cleaning up my '67 Scrambler after its 36 year slumber, I had to drill out one of the dynamo cover screws, not thinking that it might be "something different". I thought it was a regular 5mm but apparently not.

Anyway, does anybody have a spare in decent shape?

Thanks,

Richard

I may have the three you need (NOS) I got from Honda. If I can think of it, I'll check in a couple of days to make sure. Charlie

5mm JIS, not M5 ISO. If Charlie draws a blank then try Fast Fred.

Dynamo cover screw 5mm, .90 pitch, 12mm long

Post by eamartin » Thu Mar 03, 2016 9:47 am

Late CA77 (CA78), dynamo cover screw as described (5mm, .9 pitch, 12mm length, oval head with beveled shoulder). Any suggestions on where to begin sourcing this? Most postings on this topic are pretty old. Any current input would be appreciated. I'll use the old screw rather than tap but I'd cut off a longer screw if I could find a nice one. Thanks, Mike

These may be the same also, although not listed for the dream.
