Seadog

Thanks for the kind words. I've been on my travels for a while. It really is nice to spend some time in the workshop but difficult to remember what I was doing the last time I was there... :-)

I find it also takes a while to get back in the mood where I can do things without screwing them up....

LM

I'm going to be short of time this year but if you would like me to do a few for you, I would be happy to. PM me with what you need and we can work out an exchange / trade.

Should be in the US every month this year.

G-Man,
I look forward to seeing the Alumaweld used. I tried something similar on an engine case without much luck. I also tried a flux cored solder made for aluminum without luck. I then sent a sample off to Ken White at tinmantech and he did some tests and sent me brazing rods and flux to use. The test welds he did looked very nice but I haven't had time to give it a try yet. The problem with the braze rods is that there is very little margin between the rod melt temp and aluminum melt temp so it will take practice to not destroy the parts.

Rich

Rich

I have used the technology on other Honda parts but I share your concerns.
