Hi,

These boxes (only for the German / Dutch / Switzerland bikes) were not for the early versions, however, they were on it.

Part numbers are CYB723861, CYB723862, with covers CYB723863 and CYB723864

According to the part manual these were installed from CB72 1004083. I have one set, and never seen another one before,

Hi,

Only for the CB72, not for CB77, according to the manual.

I tested these covers on my CB72'66 on the dyno a few years ago, with the covers on the torque increases (slightly) in the rpm range between 2000 to 6000 rpm, but from 8500 rpm the engine is getting serious breathing issues.

I guess most people just dismissed the covers, that's why these covers are very hard to find.

A bit more time in the workshop today and I thought I'd try an finish up with my tensioner collection.

I picked up some more bearings but wanted to make sure they didn't get damaged during insertion in the wheels. After rummaging about in my materials pile I gound a little bit of bar that would suit and turned it in the lathe so it would supplort the needle roller and allow me to centralize the bearing in the wheel.

The hydraulic press worked a treat and I was able to do five bearings in no time at all without any mishaps.

The bearing is a little bit narrower than the wheel so just needs pushing a fraction below the surface.

I just need to make up a few more modified retaining bolts and make the clearance hole for the bolt in teh tensioner arms and then these will be done.
