Day 2 of reassembly went fairly well, but not a great deal was accomplished. Lots of little bits installed, the rear wheel is on, side stand and its demon possessed spring are on, one shock is on, but the other must wait until tomorrow. I scratched the inside of the top cover and had to touch up the paint. The spot will never be seen, but it's a rust prevention issue (I have steel tops).

More tomorrow, but I first have to give my motorcycle trailer a thorough going over in anticipation of Sunday's trip to pick up the new SuperHawk.

A bit more done today. Today's lesson learned: put the tail light on before mounting the rear wheel. I'm getting good at removing and installing wheels.

I'm having trouble with the centerstand hitting the bottom of the swingarm and can't figure out what might be wrong. New rubber donut touches nothing. I compared it to the old one and even swapped them, but no joy. How is this possible?

Thanks, LM. That's a relief.

Got the Hawk home without incident until ... I was sitting on it and went to get off and my leg hit that damned sissy bar. Down we went. That Sissy bar will be gone tomorrow.

If someone wants to trade for a shot grab handle, let me know ASAP. Otherwise it just may get cut short. It's needed for the rear turn signals.
