Steel legs have small brakes................the 'big brake' has a completely different brake-stay mount and axle clamps. The change-over was from '65 to '66 production with alloy legs somewhere in the 101xxxx series. The size of the gator retainers and the fitment of the ears are also slightly changed.........in addition to the different fork-brace / fender mount. If all of those parts on your bike match the big-brake description..........then you need a set of alloy forks.........with appropriate tubes.

Also, the fork-seal retainers are some sort of 'pot' metal. Your chrome shop needs to know that before he begins to flow electricity to the unit. They have been known to explode in the de-chroming process.
