CR 72/77Hello Everybody
Here is another CB with a dry clutch ( and CB450 top end ). I think this is probably one of the ones that Pete Rhodes built with a the extended gearbox shaft made by Nova to take a Yamaha TZ ? clutch. Nova sell a similar setup for the CB450 racers. I suspect the next thing is for someone to cast up a CR style cam cover to fit the Suzuki GSX head like they do for the Honda replicas ( see pictures of Jerry Kooistra's new 4 cyl. on this site to get the idea ) and sooner or later with the dry clutch etc. they will look that close to the real thing we ( well at least me ) wont know the difference. New style Keihin carbs not withstanding that is. LOL. Gordon SAFOJ
CR 72/77Better still here's a kit you can build yourself ! unfortunately currently out of stock at your local Honda dealer.
Gordon
Dear Gordon, Very nice photos. For me it is the first time That I have seen inside a CR. Thank you for sharing as LM would say. I hope (Airmun) will show what he has done. It is really worth seeing. We are again going through an interesting stage with this part of the site and the Restoration part. Good on you for leading the charge G Man. All the best Jerry
