Harbor Freight lift table
Harbor Freight lift tableSearched around for a Handy lift table for ages, never found one that made sense...so I picked up one of Harbor Freight $299. tables a couple of weeks ago. Set up was quick, for some reason they ship with very little hydraulic oil so it was necessary to fill, but after that- a pleasure. It's just a civilized way to work on a bike. No more bending/hoisting/ramps/etc. I recommend.
hi, peter here again, we had this chat on another thread. great lift, i have had one for years. ALWAYS USE THE SAFTY BAR !!!! The weak point in the lift is the jack. If you leave any kind of weight on it , it will drop. this can cause all kinds of damage to tools and the bike when left over night for instance.

HF liftI finally broke down and got one too, a couple of years ago. I was working on my CL's carbs on my knees and they wouldn't straighten out when I went to stand up :( I always use the bar to lock it in place, and tie downs if i'm reefing on something.
The only reason I've avoided buying one of these is that the front wheel chock looks weak to me.
The $1000+ hydraulic lifts we have at my shop use big, thick L-Shaped crank chocks. I do everything from big twin Harleys to Honda CB200's at home, will a Harbor Freight table and wheel chock work with those okay? It's my only trepidation. 1964 CA72

I made front wheel clamps for both. Copied the expensive air lift wheel clamp. Might have photos if anyone wants to build one. Made mine from square tube that was originally a weight bench. Somebody put it out with the trash while I was out for a walk one day. All the bends were already done.
