Grease gun question ?

No, it just comes to a point, matches the hole in the grease fitting. Also pretty handy when you need to squirt out a little dab of grease to hold an o-ring or a side cover gasket in place during assembly.

A seller used to sell on ebay metal grease guns exclusively for CB77's 7-9 nipples. They still sell a cheapie CB77 grease gun from time to time.
In the meantime, the solution to your priceless kick start side covers being reduced to crap and breaking from non-lubrication is simple.
SO HERE'S THE FREE MILLION DOLLAR TIP:
It's called a "reverse nipple" grease gun.
Where to find one cheap????????
Ebay or your local shop:
They're used on Chainsaws to lubricate bar tip sprockets hundreds of times everyday all over the world.
The Dualco's are ok, look nice, expensive, and a pain in the a-- to load with grease and pressurize-(get working). I've got a couple laying around on the pain in the a-- shelf somewhere.
Stihl makes a nice cheap one I use on the chainsaw or the bike.
Easy to load, works immediately pumping grease, used it for 20 years so far.
Buy both and see which one you use more...

I have a plastic grease syringe that came with my Stihl. Is that what you mean?

Actually, mine is a Lincoln, looks just about the same as the Dualco. I drilled and tapped a 1/4 inch thread in the top for a grease fitting, I fill it with my big grease gun, no mess and no air bubbles.

The Stihl is a black metal tube with a red plastic protective cover over the nozzle and red end cover over the grease filler area. Other people make a look alike greaser too. eg Forester/poulan
The Texas made dualco is pictured below at work on a CB77 if you get one be sure to get directions with it, or call the factory and they will happily send you them.
