cb77 clutch cable "joint"

Post by klp » Tue Jan 13, 2015 5:42 pm

That's what the fiche calls it - the junction where the cable threads into the right side case.

Has anyone got one?

Early models are at a 90-degree angle to the case..............later models are at about 75 or 80-degrees to the case. Which do you need..........then I will look in my parts stash..........likely have one or more of each.

OldScrambler, Welcome to the forum. I need a 66 scrambler clutch joint too. Mine is slightly less than 90 deg, looks close to 86-88 deg. i.e. the clutch cable enters the case almost perpendicularly. Please advise.

OK............I work REAL slow when its REAL cold............so when it warmed into the 20s today I dug up a few clutch cables with the 'joint' attached. Only one unit (far right) was found that is nearly 90-degrees and it has a partially broken 'wing' that slips beneath the case. It will work as-is (but not recommended for extended use) or could be repaired........The other units have the somewhat sloped angle and are thought to provide less stress to operate. If you or anyone else is interested in any of the 'joints' $20 shipped to the lower 48 from Wisconsin.

Man, when you say you'll be digging you really do dig. That's quite an impressive tangle of clutch joints & cables. PM sent.
