are there Gauge/Speedometer lights?are there Gauge/Speedometer lights?I just took my first night ride, then I did some searching here. I'm not gloating but I have to say I feel lucky that my barn find which is now running with everything working except the neutral and high beam lights, is exceptional. When I read about bikes in boxes, I feel fortunate.
Are there lights for the speedo/tach gauges? Since I didn't see any mention of them, I assume not. Anyone try to do that? LED's? Thanks, C.
LED bulbs can be obtained from https://www.superbrightleds.com/ most base types are available, I have them in my CB400F gauges.

1973 CL175 1976 XL175 - Sold 1964 CL72 1966 CA78 I took the stockers out last night; Stanley 12V 3W bayonet base with a spherical bulb. When you google Stanley 12V 3W, all kinds of sources come up. I may try LED's but I'm going to hit my Honda shop today just for grins. The same shop that the parts guy didn't know what a CB77/305 Surerhawk was :/ C.
I got 4 bulbs from the local Honda dealer. They did have them and they were genuine Honda for $1.56 each. Not bad for the stealership.
I also ordered 4 LED's. I got two reds to try in the gauges and a blue for the high beam. The red for the gauges may not be bright enough or look good but I thought it would be fun to try; thinking non-glare airplane style.. My high beam lens is faded to white and not very interesting so I thought the blue would look good there. I also got a red 1157 led for the stop/tail. I will report when they come in. Otherwise, this lighting was the last thing that needed to be fixed on my new bike and they all worked. It's now official; everything works on the bike and nothing is missing. For the record, I paid $600 for this bike which I thought was a fair price not knowing if it would run or if it had some other mechanical issues. Looking back, I probably should have checked the compression before purchase but it was just so complete and looked like it was parked and forgotten. I took the chance and didn't want to offend the owner with a low ball offer(small town, 88 yo local lady). This time it worked out. C.
