Kohler requlator mounting bracket

Has anyone made/found a mounting bracket to install a Kohler voltage regulator in a CA78? If so, could you post a photo?

I didn't make a mount for mine. I just used one of the bolt holes from the old rect. bracket location. The regulator works great.

I made this from a piece of 1 1/2" aluminum el. Seems pretty sturdy.

I like the looks of that. I'll be back on the milling machine this week to make one for my bike.

I have it on my CA-78 (same as the CA-77) and it works great. I just used the brackets that held the old rectifier.

Are there any issues when going this route? In other words, does my '64 Dream 305 need any special treatment or other equipment before implementing this?

I was about to spring for the Radio Shack bridge rectifier, but If I can get the voltage rectified AND regulated, that would make this a perfect solution. Is there any benefit to spending $125 on a Charlie's Place Reg-Rec over this $20 unit--aside from the CP unit mounts to the original bracket and looks nicer/smaller?

Thanks!
