Thanks for the information about the carb bowl spigots, I had been searching for something on those. The two small pipes and Y piece are described as "air vents" and they are in the head not the crankcase, I wonder what exactly they do? Anyway they should got to the aircleaner not the carb bowls.

carb problemsThose vents lead directly to the inlet valve guides in an attempt to reduce any oils being pulled into the engine on overrun from the head. Later deemed unnecessary and deleted.
