Anyone do this event? The Motogirousa is a blast and is perfect for a 305. Even if you don't race there is always a lot of cool bikes.

I've got an entry in for the East, May 3-4th. This will be my first. Been trying to get a jump on prepping a CL77, but the cold keeps beating me outta the garage...

Sounds good, Peter. Any words of advise regarding "control center" set up? I'm an old ECEA enduro rider, I know how to keep time the old fashioned way with a route sheet, odo, and clock, I assume that's all legal equip for a Moto Giro? I'm aware the special sections cannot be ridden with a count down clock.

yup old style for sure, I just use a watch. Are u staying at the Holiday Inn? This event is best run for fun and not serious competition. It is a race so we drink at night.. Just say'in.

I got 'cha. I talked with another Giro veteran who let me in on his strategy- get a late number, have fun riding the road sections "with vigor", then yack it up waiting for your check in minute. The old dirt bike enduro rules penalized you heavily if you arrived early at a check, and of course, there was no stopping w/in sight of a checkpoint. I'm starting to get the idea of this ride, especially since you explained the "pre race" prep. Yes, I'm staying in the Holiday Inn, looking forward to buying you a drink. Mitch.
