Lost title help

Post by primer63 » Mon Jan 27, 2014 8:14 pm

Try this

http://www.dmv.org/wv-west-virginia/rep ... -title.php

This is dmv.org, not the government website, but should get you started.

Let us know how it goes and document the process so others can learn!

Happy hunting,

DMV

If you contact your W.V. DMV directly they can tell you what you need to do. You are not the first guy with a lost title so, they have a way to get you one. There will be a fee for them issuing you the title but it will be a cheaper experience if you do the work yourself instead of letting someone else do it.

Best wishes on getting it worked out. Report back if you run into a snag and need help.

Provisional title

Ask them to send the letter to the PO. When they get it back you should be able to get some kind of provisional title. WV almost certainly has some way for you to get a title. Just keep at it and you will prevail.
