Thank you Hahnda,

Those are good tire choices and fair prices to boot.

That's a good looking tire WHonda ,the bike too, what size are they and did you get them through J& P ?

I can't find 3.25 or 3.50 on their site
I got the Heidenau's tires (3.5x16) from 'Hahnda', the tubes (3.25-3.5x16) I got from J&P. I already took em for a test drive and they seem fine.

The tires are rated at 400+ lbs and a 93 mph speed.

Cool WHonda glad you like them, thanks for the review.

Not much done on the bike this week , still checking out suppliers.

It a piers that finding the right battery is going to be my biggest supply challenge so far.

Check out the Motobatt MB9U... fit perfect in my 1967 and no worries about corrosion. It was way under $100

Thanks piperjak but unfortunately I have to get the older style battery that is much thinner.

I think that I can find most of what I need here http://www.ohiocycle.com/ but they want me to give them both the engine and frame numbers to get started.

I have been using the search here and reading a lot of posts but all I came up with is "look on the frame by the steering column", not there.

And "look by the center stand pivot on the left side", if it is there I can't see it, is it under the battery box, how big are the numbers ?

Can someone please tell me where to find a picture or a good description as to where I can find the frame numbers for a 64 CA77 with an engine number CA77-100276

Thank you,

JD

OK , I decided the best thing to do was call Ohio Cycle and ask them.
The Gentleman I talked to told me it is in fact behind the engine above the center stand on the left side , get a flash light and a oil rag.

Of all the crazy places to put a number, there it was !

Here's a pic.

I finally got a couple of projects out of the way and was able to spend some quality time with the Dream.

After seeing what a great job Pine-sol did on cleaning the petcock I decided to take apart the carb. and dip it too.

After about 4 hours I rinsed it off and after drying it I sprayed it down with seafoam and let it sit for a day, it came super clean, even the brass parts.

Today I cleaned off the seafoam with regular carb cleaner and put it back together .

I never started a Honda dream before so going by the owners manual,

Turn key to 1, choke on, open throttle, kick twice

turn key to 4 , open choke 1/4, hold throttle 1/8 and start kicking

She fired right up after 4 kicks, this thing hasn't ran since 1984 and it sounds great.

Sometimes things go right , next thing to do is to take a very careful ride up the road on 30+ year old tires to check out the brakes.
