O-Rings Again

Post by 48lesco » Sat Feb 02, 2013 1:40 pm

If you need the o-ring that goes between the head and carb spacer, Honda part number 16173-260-004 is 29x2.4. Not sure why, but it's still available from Honda. Just got one in a parts order and it fits just right.

That's great! Is it Viton or Buna? Sometimes those chinese o-rings from the hardware chains are meant for plumbing, not 200F service in a fuel/oil environment...

It not a space ship. no worries! When it is sealed ~ how is gas going to touch it? Probably the same quality as the aftermarket honda stuff anyway. How do you know?

buna won't last very long, but, hey, its easy enough to change out, just keep an eye you don't go too lean and blow things up
