Mirror mounting issues after replacing perches

Post by Flashy65 » Sun Jan 27, 2013 7:06 pm

If you install reproduction handlebar mounts, the mirror mounting holes are 10mm and not 8mm. Is there an adapter to reinstall Honda OEM style mirrors?

Most of the bigger motorcycle shops carry/sell the adapters. Don't get the ones that work with Yamaha, as they have one clockwise and one counter clockwise thread.

An 8mm x 1.25 helicoil will thread directly into those mounts, and convert it to the size you need.

Sorry, can't access Ebay from here. Sounds correct though, just a wire insert. you can grind the head of a bolt to make an insert tool.
