You are correct.
I got the numbers messed up when I tried to make sence of how he posted them. ...........lm

Part 11200-259-xxx is lower Crankcase
Part 12100-2xx-xxx is Cylinder barrel

For John I believe that the barrels are interchangeable after the early 1961 issue which had a different oil feed arrangement. I have a late NOS die-cast 305 barrel which looks different but appears to be compatible.

The later barrel, while compatible, uses the narrower cam chain tensioner as well.

Good one, Davo.

I can never remember which way round it is with wide / narrow tensioners.

Yeah G, with all of the nuances throughout the years, it's hard to keep track of what was early vs late(r).

The obvious next question is can you recognize the one from the other?
For instance would this one fit a late model 1965?

John,

Measure the height and width of the cam chain tensioner on your motor, and have the seller measure the barrel. The changes occur more by serial number than model year. Also could have been swapped before, so definately measure!

If your engine is a 1965 the part will fit/work. ....lm
