Adjusting ValvesAdjusting ValvesBeen trying, in vain, to find some type of tutorial for valve clearance adjustment. Where to look for this? Thanks,
Ron
Re: Adjusting ValvesSet rotor to "T" and adjust both right side valves to .004.
Set to "LT" and adjust left side. You will need to lock down the rotor to do this. ...........lm
Re: Adjusting ValvesOK sounds good, but to be sure and since I have never done this before, here is a picture of where I think I approach this procedure...does the feeler gage insert under the adjusting screw and on top of the valve stem? The gauge hardly goes in very far right now, and I do have rotor lockied at T for this right side shot (shows intake, but the exhaust was really tight too). Thanks for the direction. It may be a little difficult with that feeler gauge. The one that came in the original tool kit is much narrower. The wider gauge will hang up on the valve cap making it harder to feel the clearance. What I did was cut my gauge down with a very sharp scissors and made sure there was not a burr on the sides. Other than that you are on the right track
