the speedo clamp is 62, , it has hole in side for the screw. i just feel sorry for the person that buys it, and then finds out what he has, cant really see, but looking at the rear where the seat bolts to looks like a lug.
still a tidy bike, and another one on the road working, that cant be bad...

quote from seller.
"
Japanese domestic models have different numbering to export models,we have imported 4 cb72,s now,the previous 2 had cbm72 prefix and 7 numbers, this one has cb72 and then 7 numbers,we stand by it being a 60-61 domestic model, regards,"

i dont know about being the first one, i think it may be the last one.
says he has taken advice from an oz expert who knows and rebuilds cb72's, i have posted him a link here so he can ask others...

There are many parts on the bike which weren't made that way in those years.

Square Bowl Carbs.
Clutch Cover
Oil Filter Cover
Tappet covers
Seat Strap
If you insist this is a early issue then it would have to be the Testing Bike for all the parts from 1964 to 1967 as most of the mentioned parts were issued during that time.
This forum is well trained as to what parts were issued and what years. ........lm
